This class is specifically designed for certification renewal for those with Basic Life Support (BLS). A practical exam and a written exam are given at the end of the class. You must pass both to obtain an AHA BLS Certification card. The passing grade on the written exam is 84%.

Basic Life Support (BLS) (4 hours)

This class is specifically designed for healthcare professionals (Doctors, Physician’s Assistants, Nurses, various Medical Technicians, EMTs, Paramedics, etc.) and those entering a program of study in the medical field.

We teach using a traditional learning approach using American Heart Association video where you will practice the skills while watching the video. There will be plenty of hands-on practice of the skills presented in the video so every student will leave the class confident in the topics taught during the course.

A practical exam and a written exam are given at the end of the class. You must pass both to obtain an AHA BLS Certification card. The passing grade on the written exam is 84%.

ACLS is designed for the advanced medical provider. If this is the first time you have taken ACLS or if your ACLS card has expired and you need a new one, this is the class for you. As with all our traditional classes, this is face-to-face interactive learning environment where you will watch AHA video content and participate in hands-on skills throughout the course. Skills are taught in larger group sessions, followed by smaller group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

You are required to bring a copy of the pre-course assessment to class. Instructions on how to access the pre-course assessment are located within the ACLS provider manual.  A practical exam and a written exam are given at the end of the class.  You must pass both to obtain an AHA ACLS Certification card.  The passing grade on the written exam is 84%

Basic Life Support

Unsure whether you need Heartsaver CPR AED or Basic Life Support? Chances are, we can help you solve this problem! Basic life support is generally for the healthcare professional whereas Heartsaver CPR AED does not require medical training. If your job requires a specific course, verify the course with your employer before registering!

Advanced Life Support

If you are wondering why the ALS courses have a one and two day option, it's because the one day updates are for provider that only need a refresher on the material. If you have never taken the course before or your card has expired, you will need to take you initial, two-day course.
