COVID-19 UPDATE (5/23/20)

Health & safety are high priorities for our company, students, & staff. In an effort to reduce transmission of illness, if you are sick (fever, cough, runny nose, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) please allow us reschedule your class for no additional cost.

We are in compliance with Governor Cooper’s Executive Order as well as increased efforts placed by Mayor Schewel of Durham. These changes include limiting the number of participants, practicing social distancing, and mandating face masks/coverings for both staff and students within our classroom. We do have masks available for purchase in the classroom for $2/mask.The AHA has provided additional interim guidance on instructional changes during the pandemic. AHA recommendations include, but are not limited to, requiring hand hygiene before class, not permitting food/drink in the classroom, removing the practice of physically providing breaths (mouth-to-mouth & mouth-to-mask), and removing the practice of two-person scenarios. After course completion, manikins, training tools, and all surfaces are decontaminated according to company policy, which is in line with AHA recommendations and utilizes EPA-approved cleaning products capable of killing COVID-19.

MedUltra Learning is a locally owned and operated small business consisting of educational consultants, EMS instructors, and prehospital content developers striving to meet the needs of our community and surrounding public safety departments.

Our history

The company was created on April 7, 2017 by two paramedics that have a passion for instructing lifesaving skills. As EMS providers, they understand the importance of early recognition and rapid response to cardiac arrest and set out to train local communities on how to take action. The business began instructing classes on July 1, 2017 to private groups. As the number of requested classes increased, MedUltra Learning opened a classroom in northern Durham in October of 2018. In July of 2019, MedUltra Learning received recognition as an authorized American Heart Association Training Site.
